Why “slowhaste”?
Because “festina lente” (make haste slowly) was already taken. This old Roman version of “measure twice, cut once” was associated with the image of an anchor and dolphin, which the Venetian printer Aldo Manuzio took as his device.
“Slowhaste” ties those qualities together in a paradoxical motto that also resonates with my wonky internal sense of time. In short, it’s the only vaguely blog-like name I could think of — epigrammatic and marked by over-ripe introspection.

Hey I can’t find your contact info. I wrote it down and I think one of my boys ate it or something. I know its here some where. Aaarrgggh!
